Brian Sage

Associate Teacher

Brian is a professional actor, director, and Associate Professor of Theatre at Ohio Northern University where he has been serving as Director of the School of Visual and Performing Arts and teaching and mentoring actors. He earned his MFA in Acting from Wayne State University as a member of the Hilberry Repertory Theatre Company, and his BA in Theatre Performance from Western Michigan University. Brian had the honor of studying in Russia with the Moscow Art Theatre School. His journey with the Michael Chekhov technique began at Wayne State and he became a certified teacher through GLMCC in 2017.

Brian’s seventy plus professional acting credits run the gamut from the classics to contemporary musical theatre. Some favorite roles include The D’ysquith Family in A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder, Roy Cohn in Angels in America: Millennium Approaches, Max Bialystock in The Producers, Bottom in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Harry Brock in Born Yesterday, Joe Keller in All My Sons, Claudius in Hamlet, Pseudolus in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, and Nicely Nicely Johnson in Guys and Dolls.
