Catherine Albers is a Founding Artistic Director of the Great Lakes Michael Chekhov Consortium and an Emeriti Professor from the Department of Theater at Case Western Reserve University.
At Case, she was a long time Head of Undergraduate Theatre Studies and a Master Teacher in the MFA Professional Actor Training Program. She is a professional actor and has performed in film and television and on stage extensively.
She first came to the Michael Chekhov Technique while in grad school and then studied at MICHA with Joanna Merlin, Lenard Petit and many more. She was the first to be certified in their then teacher training program.
She has continued her Chekhov teaching and training since her retirement from Case.
