Module 2 Overview

In Module 2 you will gain:

A deeper Knowledge of the principles of the Michael Chekhov Technique
The ability to apply the basic tools of the Technique to more complex dramatic text
The ability to practice Chekhov-based tools that were developed by practitioners of his technique and apply to them to complex dramatic text
A more sophisticated knowledge of the connection between theory and practice
In addition, participants on the teacher track will gain:
Greater proficiency in employing a warm-up using the concepts that Michael Chekhov developed
The ability to develop and teach a warm-up employing the principles of the Michael Chekhov Technique
A beginning ability to employ the principles in Lessons for Teachers to the delivery of a warm-up

Module 3 Overview

The ability to apply the principles of Michael Chekhov Technique to your work as teacher and/or actor and director
The ability to apply the tools learned in Module 1 and 2 to advanced scenes
The ability to apply advanced tools of the Michael Chekhov Technique to advanced scenes
In addition, participants on the teacher track will gain:
The ability to develop and deliver a lesson on one of the tools of Michael Chekhov Technique
The ability to apply the principles of Lessons for Teachers to the delivery of a lesson in Michael Chekhov Technique

Module 4 Overview

The ability to revisit and review the principles of the Michael Chekhov Technique
The ability to collaborate with faculty in choosing several morning session topics for each year’s unique group
The ability to participate in all conference ‘all-skates’, to attend the afternoon and evening sessions, choosing either MOD 1 sessions for review or MOD 4 group activities
Needs at least 6 program certified graduates to ‘make’ each conference
