Eva Gil (she/her) is a theatre artist and Assistant Professor of Theatre at Western Washington University, where she teaches all four levels of the acting progression in the Performance Concentration.
In helping shape the program, one level of the training is now focused on Michael Chekhov's Acting Technique. Eva was introduced to Michael Chekhov's work while training with Catherine Albers when she was earning her MFA at Case Western/Cleveland Play House.
Eager to learn more about the work, she was in the first certifying class of GLMCC. She has also trained with Lenard Petit, Joanna Merlin, and Dawn Arnold. The imaginative playfulness in the technique has brought her great joy and has been a focal point of her continuing artistic work.
