Jennifer Tuttle (she/her) is the Chair of the Department of Theatre and Speech and an Associate Professor at the City College of New York (CCNY), as well as a freelance actor and director.
Jennifer first experienced the Michael Chekhov Technique in Detroit as an MFA student at Wayne State University with Founding Artistic Director Emeritus Lavinia Hart, and Founding Artistic Director Lionel Walsh. This led her to study with MICHA in New York and Boston. But it was her first year at GLMCC, in 2012, when she knew she’d found her artistic home.
She earned her teaching certification in 2014. Jennifer integrated the technique into her acting curriculum and directing projects first at Minnesota State University Moorhead and subsequently at CCNY, and incorporates it into her personal acting practice and freelance directing, and in her daily life, as well. She lives in Queens, New York with her husband, son and dog.
