Meaghen Ken
Associate Teacher
Meaghen has been studying, instructing, and performing internationally for the past 20 years. She holds a M.F.A. from Pennsylvania State University and a B.F.A. in Musical Theatre from the University of Windsor, Canada, where she is currently working as a Professor in the School of Dramatic Art.
Meaghen also studied with leading acting, voice, and movement specialists from around the world and has continued to develop an understanding of classical text and performance styles from her days training with John Basil of the American Globe, her weeks studying Viewpoints and Suzuki techniques with the Saratoga International Theatre Institute (SITI), and her time practicing the craft of acting with the Great Lakes Michael Chekhov Consortium (GLMCC).
In an effort to bring theatre to the streets of Windsor, last summer(2021), Meaghen had the privileged of performing in an immersive theatre piece called Contact, a show that was able to bring light to multiple countries during the theatre shutdowns. Currently, Meaghen feels extremely blessed to be performing in Falling: A Wake, by Gary Kirkham, which will tour to three small town this summer. She hopes this project will contribute to the revitalization of theatre in Canada.
